Bio-Spira isn't just a bacteria starter, it's a complete load of bacteria. People seem to get this mixed up with other products that just "encourage" bacteria. I am no expert, but on this one issue I've read as much as I can find. I can tell you from my own use. The stuff works.

You say you set it up a couple days ago? Did you put Bio-Spira in there? BEcause if not, and you didn't cycle, then you probablty better hold off on putting anymore fish and start testing for ammonia. Some expert keepers are sure to come along in this thread an explain it in very clear terms ;)...

Is it normal for Silver-Tipped Tetras to hassle the heck out of each other. Once in a while these 6 guys will all school together. They don't fight over food. Sometimes they even will all 6 join the Rummy-Nose school and swim with them. But they do seem to break up the herd pretty often and...

My Neons do it every night now. It's kind of funny actually. They go into the plants as a group and within the hour they are drifting around scattered by the currents in the tank looking like a bunch of drunks with hangovers. These guys are wild eaters though and very energetic all day long.

I can't imagine Fosters and Smith selling a dyed fish.
