well this very helpful to me, I have wanted to try to hand feed my fish but i was afraid of hurting them or doing something wrong. They always run when i get in the tank to do weekly water changes so i was afraid to bother them. Maybe i guess when it comes to food it is a totally different story.

i would start with 3 females and 1 male and see what happens. you will soon have baby fry and you need room for them to grow. you also need to make sure your male female guppy ratio is where it should be otherwise, you wil have the male picking on the female to much.

I HAVE A 55 GALLON THAT I USED PART OF TO PUT IN A 2GALLON HEX. MY FILTER IS UNDERGRAVEL SO, I JUST TOOK A HANDFUL OF GRAVEL AND TWO GALLONS OF WATER PUT IT IN THE HEX THEN ADDED MY FOUR GUPPY FRY. THEY ARE DOING VERY WELL AND SEEM HEALTHY ALL THE TIME. JUST AND IDEA ;)

i have cute little frog in my tank also. I call him Demon. Because he had a feast on most of my guppy fry :crazy: :byebye: . They really are a lot of fun to watch and they have their special little hideouts. :D

welcome to the forums. After being on here and reading the different threads you will have no trouble setting up your first tank. These people are really helpful and after you get to know some of them they can be spitefull but it is all about fishy fun :hi: :fish: :fish: :fish:

Before I buy any of my fish i willgo to check out the place twice to make sure the tanks are being maintained. I never look at the fish at walmart because i used to work there and i know there tanks are not the way they should be. I wish i could work at an lfs but, right now it is just not...
