i had high nitrite in my tank WHILE i had fish in it... keep up with the water testing... do like 50%-65% changes every day... or a couple 30% water changes twice a day. don't test your water every day, youl'll run out of water testing stuff lol.. do those straight, every day, for 1-2 weeks...

looks like brown algae. i wouldnt dare put vinegar in my water but i guess that is my own opinion. i had a really bad brown algae mess and i simply got a couple snails from my lfs... careful, they do mulitply.. but luckily mine havent yet. and you could also get stuff that is called WASTE...

well i bought quick cure today and have added drops already. this should rid my ick in 2-3 days. it is 2 drops per gallon if you have tetras and i have a total of 6 tetras in my tank, different species. i'm not going to raise my temperature too much because i have a black moor that won't approve...

i might try the pantyhose thing but won't that not make the filter suck everything up??? casue pantyhose have very small holes right that you can barely even see. my big fish have no problem with it and my first neons have no problem either. its always the ones that have a sick look to them...

FINAL COUNT 11 hamster babies!!

we have 11 hamster babies!!! it was 12... but the runt is missing... and there was a little blood spot on one of the shavings so I figured that the mom knew it was sick, or he died...and got rid of him herself. It is gross but I guess thats nature right. And at least he is not suffering. we...

we can't get a final count just yet but my friend tried to count them three times last night... she got 12, then 13, then 12 again.. hopefully have a final count soon!!!! i am going to clean out the cage this weekend coming up so I will know then.!!
