ich?

You cannot be serious.

If that lady told you a goldfish could live in a 10 gallon tank, she was NOT trained and has no idea what she is talking about. The fancy goldfish, basically a moor, can get to the size of a softball or football if taken care of properly! Most pet stores dont have trained staff anyways. Your friend shouldnt keep her pleco NOR goldfish for very much longer either, thats worse than you are. Plecos can get to over a FOOT long.

No one on this site can disagree with me when I say a goldfish cannot live in a 10 gallon tank with tropical fish. Not a single one.

Maybe you should read these links:

(^ notice the 68 degree temp. and 8 to 10 inch adult size)
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWSubWebIndex/godfshdisfaq5.htm
(^ those are quite helpful)

(^very respected site)

Those are just the first three I got off google. There are so many more that could prove to you that what you're doing is wrong. Im glad you tried to solve your ich problem, but the problem is this goldfish and right now you are just begging to get this illness again. You will be wasting your time AND money.
