i read and read plenty about fishkeeping online and in books etc and everywhere tell you roughly guidelines to follow re stocking etc yet my dad has been fish keeping for 40 yrs with no problems at all in his 60 gall tank he has 3 loach 1 rt black shark 1 plec 2 festivum 2 keyhole 2 angel 1...

any ideas pls?

Hi i bought 2 kribs a month ago and the female one had a bright red belly. i have just seen her now and the bright red has faded and she has what can only be described as looking like egg white bubbles attached to her rear end. Is this teh result of giving birth?, will it go?, will she die?

just that some sites are saying they eat small fish....

Hi Everywhere says 6 inch absolute maximum. Usually 4 or 5 ???? Lots of people saying not too aggressive (unlike the red tailed bs) .. Some saying that they are aggressive and will eat neons etc confused why so many people divided.... Anyone else with any views please?

hi, yeah my dad has a 6foot tank so could take the plec when it gets too big. just want an algae eater but apparently the clown plec isnt one??????????????????????????????????????????? its to gio in my 40 gallon tetra and barb tank what about ruby sharks, too aggressive to live with teh neons etc?

hi, the tank is 48x12x15 (35 gallon) im reading that the ruby sharks (unlike the red tail) are peaceful towards smaller fish i have some neons and small tetras in my tank will they be ok? plenty of hiding places for teh shark

Hiya Ive just purchased 4 black phantom tetras. All 4 are female and have red finnage. The adipose fin is tiny on these fish as per normal however 3 are a faint red in colour and one is bright red in colour is this normal? and should i put a male in too?

ah, i see i dont think im heavy footed, my my floor is wood flooring, not carpet... will teh fish get acustomed to teh fact that there isnt much movement. my other tank (bigger one) with all my cihlids in is fine and the fish come to the front when i coem in wanting to be fed??

Im still concerned. They dont look ill and wehen the lights are off they are all out with the other fishswimming happily. as soon as teh tank lights come on, they swim very very fast into their hiding place and dont come out??????????????
