Same thing here, I put two pink feather in my tanks a couple of months back. In the end they cast there existing tubes and built new ones under the sand where I placed them. Both doing well, just be a little patient with them, I'm sure they will be OK

Hi Paul, One other tip I also found was some flake food used to send the unit mental and simply chuck water through the cup rather than foam. In fact I think a posted a question on it once as I was ready for chucking it in the bin. Persevere, they worth it in the end.

I have one of the deltecs and setting it up can be a bit of trial and error. Basically you need to adjust the air intake and cup height little bits at a time till you get the right air flow for the cup height. Once you have it set and your happy with the output, make sure you run a black marker...

Hydor also do an inline unit which means you can hide it away from view in the tank (if you dont have a sump). I have mine on the return from my canister filter.

Are you using RO water, you could be adding more nitrates back inwith you water changes. Our tap water is fairly high so I always use RO. I had a simular problem a few years ago which disappeared as soon as I purchased a RO unit.

My LFS has always suggested I change my T5 every 6 months. He knows I dont always purchase from him so I think its genuine. I beleieve its something to do with the spectrum of light it produces reduces over time, but I'm no expert in light mechanics
