    Is My Media Choice Alright

I have the same setup on my filters 2 sets of biomax and 1 sponge. Bio filtration is good and mech filtration too. Your filter floss must be on top of the biomax. If you put it before the sponge, your filter will clog very fast. You should add filter floss If your water is not clear. There's no...

    Eheim Filters 2250 Or 2028 Or Fx5

Hi, I'm looking for a new filter and I don't know which one would be more suitable for a 77G tank? Eheim classic 2250 or pro2 2028 or FX5? The filter must handle the bio and mech filtration "alone", only one filter on the tank. 2250 has ~12 liter media capacity 2028 has ~6 liter and is easier...

    Frozen Shrimp From Grocery Store

Thanks for your reply Mikaila :good: Do you buy a brand or are they standard shrimps from the seafood department? Any reasons why you buy pre-cooked instead of uncooked?

    Frozen Shrimp From Grocery Store

Hi ! I want to feed my fish a variety of food. So far, I've tried flakes, pellets, wafers, cucumber, zucchini and bloodworm. Lately, I've read a few articles about feeding frozen shrimp from the grocery store to tropical fish. Does anyone have experience with frozen shrimps from the grocery...

    Buying The Right Cichlid

Waynee, They won't be in the same tank as my angels. My angels are in my living room tank and I don't want to add anything else in that tank heh! I'm really considering buying 2 or 3 keyholes. 12 harlequin rasboras, 8 corydoras and 3 keyholes wouldn't crowd my tank. Hopefully the keyholes...

    Buying The Right Cichlid

Thanks for your help guys. I just realized that I did a mistake by saying I have never kept Cichlids. I currently have 4 Angelfish in my tanks. I didn't realize they were cichlid. I thought they were just angelfish ;) Angelfish are great fish but I would like something different for my new...

    Buying The Right Cichlid

If I remember correctly Ram only grow to 3" ? I would prefer a "medium sized" fish something like 5" to 8".

    Buying The Right Cichlid

Hello ! I've never kept Cichlids and I would like buy one or a pair for my new community tank. I've heard a lot of things about Cichlids (some are aggressive, they protect their babies) and I'm somewhat confused and I don't know which Cichlids to buy. My setup is new and I'm...

    Vegetable Oil And Aquarium Pump

A water holding tub on the same floor is not an option. My girlfriend would kill me ! ;) I'll use the pump with a small amount of vegetable oil and I'll pump water from the basement for the first few weeks.. I have 2 fish tanks in the basement. If I refill the tank direct from the tap, it...

    Vegetable Oil And Aquarium Pump

Hi! I'm redoing my hardwood floor and I trying to figure out a strategy to do my water change. My 80G tank is my living room and I don't want to use a bucket every time I want to do a water change. (I don't want to splash water on my new floor!) :) I will have a 60G storage container in my...

    My New Rena Panorama 100

    It looks great !! :good:

    Clown Loaches

They are probably not used to eat pellets. If you want them to eat your pellets, skip one feeding day and the next day give them only pellets. They will eat them :good:

    New Tank Setup:):):)

I like your shark ! :) Your tank should be ok for 1 or 2 angels if the height is 18 inches + and.. I agree with Straydum about the barbs and angels. Your angels should be fine if you keep 5 tiger barbs (or more) . Adding plants and hiding spots would help too. I can't help you about your...

    My Tank

A 75 U.S gallons tank would be good. Clown loach need a tank of atleast 75 gal due to their potential size (8" to 12").

My 68 Gal Tank With Juvenile New World Cichlids!

I like your tinfoils ! :good: For your information, your pleco isn't common pleco. It's a Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps (sailfin pleco/leopard sailfin pleco). Do you have any problem keeping a crayfish with your fish? I've heard that they do attack small fish some times.
