Things are developing nicely. The hairgrass is growing well with only 2 WPG. Not bad for a 20" high tank. There's no sign of an algae return so I've upped my photoperiod back to 10 hours ( 5 on 2 off on). If things still look ok next week I'll power up my other light unit to give 3 WPG - the hairgrass will really spread then.

I tried the blue background but the black looks better - better colour contrasts.

The Lily is growing real slow - I may buy a couple more bulbs soon.

I really like the look so far gf225, it's comming along nicely. Hairgrass looks fantastic.
Keep posting the pictures. This has been a really good thread, to watch the concept from the begining through to fruition.

I realy like that lilly, i have one which came as a bulb in my package, i just stuck it in and now the leaves are 6 inches lng and its realy healthy touch wood.

that grass will look good soon :thumbs:

Do you mean with light tubes too or just a plan view of the aquascape. With no lights my camera wouldn't pick up much. i.e.

The hairgrass is filling in nicely. I've thinned out the Ivy a lot today and boosted my lighting to 3 WPG - you can see the pearling already. The Lily is still alive - growing very slowly.

With lights please :) I was trying to get a plan view of the aquascape.

BTW, your hairgrass is looking like the queens guard (in a nice way) :)
 
oh that looks amazing. *am so jealous*

I love the ivy...looks great from the top view too.

My grass is doing better, but I'm getting the dreaded algae :( I also have LOADS of debris. It's so annoying. I just 'hoovered' it up on saturday and by the evening it was back again. I don't think my corys help! They just keep digging into the sand and their fins stir up the debris!! They seem to love it though.

The trouble is that the lights will block the view.
