After the Gecko/Cricket incident, I decided to go from a desert tank to a beach tank, with two cute little hermit crabs who had been catching my eye every time I visited the LFS.

They are very shy, and I keep the tank dark in the evening as they are nocturnal, but they poked out their heads for a few minutesto get some pics taken.

Here is Herbie, the smaller ofthe two guys:

I think he looks like he is pretending to cross the ocean back to whence he came in his little shell raft!

Sounds like Marvin has been well replaced. Hebie is very beautiful in his own way. :blink: :thumbs:

Heres the new beach theme tank, complete with natural sponge in a water dish for drinking/cudling up to in the cold night!

The light is a 15W blue incandescent and looks like moonlight on a beach :wub:

very nice tank...hermit crabs always make a nice pet. cant tell by the pic but make sure you have bigger shells for them in their for when they need to change.

Those are some nice looking ecuadorians you have there. I have many hermit crabs myself.
