Snails or shrimp are about your only options, have kept both with my males and females successfully x

What size is his tank, it looks very much on the small side??

My boys only really bubble nest if there are girls they can see ( my girls tank is next to the boys tank). I did have one who bubblenested all the time but most of mine very rarely blow any. From what you've said he sounds really happy, so dont worry about the bubbles, he'll do it when he's ready x

Ive used hikari betta pelleta, atisons betta pellets, hikari micro pellets and then bloodworm a couple times a week, oh and a deshelled cooked pea once a week. They will eat other live foods but ive always stuck with the bloodworm x

Anything but blue and red, my little boy albert is yellow and black x

Quick update, the babies are doing well, there are 5 that are a lot bigger than the rest. Ive seen a couple now that look like they're going to have their mums colouring. More pics to come soon x

Thanks lilfishie and emelee, believe it or not that was taken on a 8mp camera without a magnifying glass! He just swam to the front of the tank and sat there looking cute

I usually feed them pellets everyday except sundays when they get nothing (fast day), also they get live or frozen bloodworm a couple of times a week and 1/2 a pea once a week x
