Netty-Thanks, they are turning out so pretty. I love their shine when the light catches them. I'm waiting for a few more weeks to move the fry so I can re-spawn their mother with another of my boys in their tank. I feel so bad she's so fat but she seems happy enough! I even tried putting her on a diet but it didn't help!
CTlovesKS-Thanks! There are definitely some purple and blue colors while some have red at the bases of their fins. I can't wait to see the final results!
lilfishie-I sure hope there are some CT's in the bunch! Especially some males!
mfcclc-Thanks! I'm using the 2x magnification to get clear pictures then I just crop the pictures down to only get a clear shot of the fry. The biggest is still almost 2 cm and the smallest are about 1.2 cm. But then it's hard to measure them when they only dart to the glass for a few seconds!
Wow, those fry are great! Do you live in the states or in england? If possible, if you live in england would you sell 1 of them? Also, your fry will soon be as big as my neon tetras LOL. Anyways, could you add another picture of Coleen again, and if possible some pictures of your other male bettas, I'm just trying to think of a good breeding pair. Perhaps you could start a new strain! Imagine a crown tail fin that merges into a half moon tail sama:
Thanks tropic john, I happen to live in the USA and it is hard because a lot of really good breeders I want to buy from live in the UK! My next spawn will be with Coleen and White Beauty.
Here are my two halfmoon males,
King Henry
White Beauty (he's not really white anymore)
I don't have any more pictures of Coleen except from when I first got her and right after she had been spawned (that's why there is a chunk missing from her tail)
I'm hoping for some Halfsuns which would be the halfmoon spread with the crowntail spines.
