You Know You're A Fish-Keeper When...

Lol, kids and dogs. I think they are jealous ;)

My dogs, as soon as I put the syphon-aquarium-cleaner in the aquarium they do their pee-pee dance and want to go outside, even if they've been outside not too long before. But first they jump on the ottoman that I've moved over for storage of the equipment.
One of the dogs likes to steal my aquarium things and chew on them, so I need to be aware of where she is and what she is doing at all times!

LOL! They really know which buttons to press don't they??

My dog gets on the back of my chair, and whines, barks, and growls during maintinence.
If I look too long at the tank he brings me a toy.
I should know I belong to Him, and not the fish.

One of my Staffords has an obsession with drinking fish water. He'll try and lick everything I move from the tank too. Idiot dog aha. Like he'd rather drink from the pond than their 100s of dishes of water around the house

You know your a fishkeeper when you get in trouble with the missus and the fish room becomes the "dog House" or the couch. :)

You know your a fishkeeper when you sleep in your fish room more than your bedroom. :)

Love the plenty more fish in the sea too. Only a fishkeeper

I daydream that I am swimming in my tank. Not as a fish but as a tiny little person that has been shrunk and can explore the things that I can't see from the outside. Is that weird?

Actually quite weird yes aha

You get annoyed at your rather large sailfin pleco for rearranging your tank everytime he moves..
But then you remember he is your favourite fish so you forgive him ;-)

Took me ages to get it just the way I want it too lol

I get a bit worried about him being too large for my Cories now, when he gets a scare and swims away frantically he knocks them about a bit :(
Sooner I get my bigger tank the better! He is a softy really :D Can't help being an oaf, he was an orphan that a customer brought into work threatening to flush him! And he was too big for our tanks at work so I've taken him on.

They are lovely aren't they? :)

Haha touché. I'll agree that it isn't as strange as eating 'bush tucker'.

I love my common pleco. Mine sometimes swims too fast when spooked which isn't often but I haven't had an issue with him being with corys for over a year and a half. Just see what scares him and try to improve the situation. It could be lack of hiding space. They like a cave of their own too and mine is squeezing himself with the clown loaches.
