ytd i bought a brilliant red coloured crowntail beta...it was flaring beautifully at the store but when i brought it home and put it in a betta box with a divider with my blue plakat, it did not flare, only once or twice...some ppl told me that it was probable due to stress, so i let it rest for a whole day without disturbing it and today, it still did not flare. whenever it sees the blue plakat chargin towards it, it would swim away...when alone, it spreads its tails out nicely but would not flare...im afraid something is wrong with it...water parameters are all good...and dont ask me how good is good because im very sure it is good from my research from the net.anw it has no visible signs or being sick and it is eating well, feeding it blood worms..it has even blown a "bubble nest" and from my research, bubble nest means they are healthy.so why wont it flare? i know too much flaring isnt good for it but i read that you should let betta flare occasionally.
