I think am about to loose my entire stock of fish, I lost one last night and found another dead stuck on the intake filter.

There's only a small group going about so there's no doubt more dead fish. Am going to have to strip my tank and look for bodies.

But, I WC'd twice last night. 70% and 50% and ammonia sat at zero, nitrite was zero and nitrate was around 20.

I even increased my surface flow and added a duel outlet air pump before I went to bed. This is getting out of hand now, tanks fine and there dying. No signs of diseases  Can anyone help?

It sounds more and more like that, Something maybe on my new plants thats wiped out my tank. Am not a happy bunny.

I called my LFS today and hes gonna check my water as well. He said that theres never been a case where customers have had dead fish with there plant stock and said the redmoor is unlikely to do stuff.

The coolest thing ever tho is that he's willing to give me carbon etc for free and willing to replace dead fish o.o

Sounds like a good lfs you have there sorry to hear about your losses nothing worse hope you can find out the problem to get it solved

Yea, Cheers. I forgot I had carbon in a bag so am running that. Going to go see my LFS to see what he says.

There's not much likely to be on plants that would do that.

I'd probably do the same, lots of water changes and carbon. That and remove anything new.

Sounds like you have an LFS that knows a good customer when they see one and are sensible enough to treat you well. You get good service, they get a loyal customer, everybody wins.

you said your stats were fine after waterchanges last night, but what were your stats this morning?

Ammonia was high today, Found 2 more dead tetras in my fish tank in my plants.

Thats kinda weird how your tank went berserk, hope you find a fix soon, the ottos are still alive?

Lol, Funny thing the ottos seem much happier. Still really fat, really active and fine :|

What if it's like in that movie where the trees killed people?

The plants in your tank dont much like the fish?

But it might be possible that if you dumped the water from the LFS into the tank, it could have been carrying something that some other sick fish at the store had.

Haha oh no!

I'm really sorry about all your losses. It is so detrimental to lose your stock, I know that out of experience :( Your LFS is an awesome place! I'm glad they are so willing to help and even replace fish!

I'd suggest what every one else has, water changes, get the new stuff out. Best of luck!

It sounds like your tank is having another cycle for some unknown reason.....hence causing the death of the fish
