Well i got a little tired of soaking the flakes so i started dumbing the flakes in the waterfall of the filter. But the fish are starting to develope the habit of everytime I pull up the cover the fish all dart up and start like doing a gasping thing but its like to get food. They llok like there injesting alot of air and im scared. Do's anyone have this occurer to them? Do they know what there doing and not injest air? idk

This is why I stay away from flakes completely..Even well soaked flakes can cause problems. Gulping air on an occasion can mean they are simply pushing air out of the swim bladder directly. This is why many GF will take in the bubbles from an air-stone. The best thing to do would be put them on a diet that prevents the habit of top eating. Also, A GF that gulps alot of air from the surface could also have Gill Flukes. Make sure to check your water prams also. Good luck! :)

If they are just doing it when they see you coming then theyre just being greedy buggers. Goldies neveer know when they were last fed and see you as something to feed them.
Sounds natural, but vary the diet a bit with granular food that sinks and squashed green peas
