Why do you keep fish?

A great distresser all round with the added bonus I have something to care off and enjoy, well apart from the other half. (but alot quieter, smaller and don't eat so much, and less mess) - that's the fish not the other half. I'm continually daydreaming regarding a much larger tank, and enjoy seeing other peoples pictures on TFF. Oh the Joy. :D

I like having a little piece of living nature in your front room.

I agree with a much earlier answer too that you have responsibility for every part of their environment, and to make sure it suits their needs.

In the beginning, well I had no intention of getting a tank or keeping fish?

My dear wife as usual was on the hunt for a suitable Christmas present for me and was drawing a blank apparently I am terribly hard to buy for :shout:

One day on a visit to the local garden centre which we do quite often when there's nothing to do it is large! my wife Caught me in the Aquarium section as usual looking at all the fascinating fish and came up with the idea of buying me a tank!

The rest is History not a long one as I am coming up on 1 year now.

I am hooked and have become a bit of a clown loach addict and fan :good:

I love reading and studying fish there requirements and habits.

I can quite happily say I am hooked I have contracted BTS (bigger tank syndrome) and also MTS (more tank syndrome)

I have upgraded the size of my tank once already, unfortunately due to were I live I cannot go any bigger or get another tank so The plan is we intend to move in 18 months time and you can guess the only thing on my mind when viewing new places will be:

"would that make a good tank room ? " :good:
