Whats your normal procedure when you have a fish death?

I think your corys look OK. But I see two yellowish balls in some of the pics and am wondering if they are eggs? Bear in mind that when the eggs form inside a female they are somewhat dehydrated and smaller than what is in the pictures. However, onece released from the female thay quicky absorb water and get bigger. This is why a small fish like a cory or a small pleco appear to lay a bigger mass of egss than could fit inside the Female.

Also the image is not clear enough for me to tell if their is a tiny wiggler on the egg or not. So I may be off base here for sure.
Ah no I should've said, I put some root tab type things in a little while ago, I forget the brand, they look like a pill capsule with little balls inside and the cories have dug a couple up. I remove the little balls whenever I see them on the surface of the substrate.

OH well- I was hoping you were going to get some baby cory, but I guess not. You are right to remove them when dug up as they contain some form of N which could be ammonia or urea etc. Inthe substrate slowly dissolving it is not a problem. But when it gets into the water column being un-buried, it might be making ammonia faster.

If they do not fall apart easily, you may be able to use a big tweezer to push them back down into the substrate.

Would love some baby cories, but sadly not! I stopped using those tabs as they cause more problems than they're worth when my cories snuffle around and disturb them.
