what are the water stats?

increase temp slightly to about 86,
increase aeration

Is this a marine tank? Octozin is for treating marine fish for whitespot or freshwater fish for internal parasites,

You need to be treating with something like Protozin, or WS3

clown loach
severums
salifin plec
barbs
kissing gourami
siver dollor
hatchet fish

think the clown loachs wont react too well to the meds so you might have to half dose your tank if you are plannin on gettin some protozin make sure you double check wit a member of staff where you get it n they should tel you everytin you need to know

How big is the tank?
What are your water stats?
How long has it bee running?

water paramiters - ammonia 0.25 -> nitrites o -> nitrates 5.0 -> ph 7.5
tank 55g
running over 1 year

Ammonia shoud be reading 0 and this can be solved by doing a couple of big water changes until it reads 0.
As Davo suggested, it is worth raising the temperature to around 30, do this gradually over a few hours. You will also need to make sure there is plenty of oxygen as high temps reduce oxygen levels. This can be done by adjusting the filter to create a heavier flow or running an airstone.
Interpet Anti White Spot treatment has worked for me in the past, so it is worth giving this med a try.
As you are probably aware, your tank is overstocked which could be a factor in the fish getting white spot.

wot fish can i get rid of

clown loach 2 3"
severums 3 4"
salifin plec 1 5"
barbs 2 2"
kissing gourami 2 2"
siver dollor 3 3"
hatchet fish 3 2"

Clown Loach need to be in groups of 5+, reach 12" and need a minimum of 90G+.
Sailfin Plecs can reach 18" and ideally need a 4ft tank minimum, although 5ft+ wuld be better.
The Severums would be ok for now but I'd only keep one in that size tank and smaller fish may be at risk.
Silver Dollars can reach around 5" and prefer to be in groups as they are a shoaling fish.
Kissing Gouramies can reach 12", although they are usually smaller when kept in aquariums.
I would probably rehome all of the above fish and stock with more small to medium size fish.
What type of Barbs do you have?

5 banded Barbs and i have been told not to do w/c at the weekends and not to use hot water from the tap?

Any reason you shouldn't do water changes at the weekend?
Water changes should be done weekly on whatever day you choose!
Most people change about 15-25% weekly and adding cold water should not affect the temperature by much, so hot water isn't really needed.
If you rehomed the fish I mentioned, you could then keep and up the numbers on the following:

6 x 5 Banded Barbs
6 x Hatchet fish

This would leave plenty of options for other stocking, depending on what fish you like.
You could still keep Cichlids with the view to keeping Dwarf varieties instead. These are generally better community fish and mix well with most small fish.

I recently had Ich on my fish in my new tank. After some research, I purchased some meds for it, and kept the tank at a constant 84 degrees and removed the carbon filter as instructed. It cleared up in a few days. I think one of the main reasons that there is parasites on the fish is due to stress on the fish, and an overstocked tank like that would be a main reason. I'm sure rehoming your fish will help a lot, but I am rather new to this whole fish keeping experience. I hope someone else could correct me if I'm wrong.
