hi, i bought a starter aquarium from pets at home , cycled it for a week then went to buy some fish for it. the person said i could have 6 minnows in there so i bought 5. its a 13 litre tank with a filtre.
after seeing some posts on here im worried (certain) its too small andwondered what i could do . i cant afford a bigger tank

i have a plastic container which could probably hold 30litres+
you rekon it would be safe to use as a aquarium or not?

thanks

I'd take the WCMM back, the tank is too small for most things and no coldwater fish could fit in it (WCMM are sub-tropical and technically need water around 18 degress celcius) if you added a heater then you could get shrimp as said above, or my partner keeps a betta in one, i assume it's the my first aquarium that sells for about £12.99.

Also you tank isn' cycled read the pinned topics in the newbie section and they will help out alot. :good:

you dont need a heater for shrimp...most of them a cold water species anyway.

cherry shrimp
amano shrimp
CRS CBS shrimp
bee shrimp all of the common ones are cold water
