Fair enough, and you are right. Normal zebs are gorgeous...but expensive. And in my opinion no plec is worth what used to be my weekly pay from work! :crazy:

And now I'm a student....well...you get the drift.

And no I haven't made my mind up. It's wavering between mega clown and tiger peckoltia I think. And both of those rely on me finding nicely marked specimens (as in the photos).

I'm with you on that one, Student or not, it's a lot of money to shell out and if god forbid you were lose it, it just dosn't bear thinking about.
 
curiosity if you are willing to pick up you can have 1.5-2" zebs for £50, almost any time you want. there are plenty of worse looking plecs for at least this money so is a very good price.
regardless of other peoples opinions, you are correct in saying, no matter where the fish was bred and in what conditions, nothing will do the fish better than the conditions it is naturally living in. very well said!
hope you find the pleco you want, and although people have made very good suggestions, the decision should be made solely by you. you will be the one buying it/them and you will be the one keeping it, others opinions don't really matter!

I have to say that out of all the plecs , I like the stripey ones too, don't own one though ........
Anyone West Lothian , Falkirk , Stirlingshire has a bristlenose free to a good home , need I say more.......
