Hey all!

Just on the homes-stretch before adding a betta to my new tank, and went looking around today...

In Pets at Home they had some lovely fish, but I choose to out particularly - a red/blue veiltail and a pink/blue (comb/veiltail thing).

Now, I couldn't take any pictures (because of the Child's protection act apparently :S) but I can describe them haha :good:

The red veiltail was a bright red (like the tongue in this guy --> :shout: ) and had a red body. His fins were in perfect condition and where his body met his fins he had neony-blue stripes that faded back into red (maybe 3/4 per tail).

The pinky one was a pinky/purple body that melted into dark blue tails (tipped with really really dark red), but he looked slightly more ragged.

Sorry for the abscence of pictures - but personally which one would you guys go for? And if you have any pictures of bettas that match the describtions could you post them so i can become envious? haha :hey:

Cheers :good:

The pink one sounds really nice and different, and he should fix up if you give him a little bit of TLC. Whats your tank like and which one can you see swimming around in it!?

Hi

Colour wise I'd go for the pinky one :good: But just check that there are no signs of fin rot i.e. black edges to the ragged bits. It could just be that he looks ragged as he may have combing it him. Nice clean water would help him anyway :good:

Didn't think what exists?

Does he look anything like my ConfettI? If so, he is a CT.

Just like Confetti actually (except his fins weren't that immaculate!) - he's a real beauty!

Well, I thought the Red one was who I would choose, but (after the nitrite spiking in my tank) I decided to console myself by going to look at the betta I will be getting soon (how sad haha) and the red one didn't look so great =[

I think the pink sounds awesome actually - the more I think about it, and the more I think about the fact that he can heal up and look something like confetti is great! My tank has a lot of greens, a yellowy-green bridge decoration, black gravel and some peppered cories (seriously, it doesn't look HALF as disgusting as what I just described it as :p) so a bluey/pinky betta would really stand out and shine! :good:

Expect some pictures up here real soon... just need a name now!

Can't wait!! :shout:

Thank you - I enjoy Confetti IMMENSLY!! Not only is he beautiful, but he is a BIG boy. Didn't know if I would like a CT so much, but his colors really won me over and he has a heck of a personality, too!!!

Can't WAIT to see pictures - with a name. Can't have Confetti - it's already taken!! :hyper:
