New coloring or concern?

hello everyone here is another update on my betta , I put him on temporary tank and put in the stuff people recommended. My betta refuses to swim but does it a little more often. He breathes heavily and still prefers to sit in corners. His wound has gotten a darker red. This poor guy has lived a rough life before getting to me and I hope he gets better soon. I will keep him in the quarantine tank until he gets better.

I also want to note that his sickness is getting worse day by day. The spot that he has had has gotten to the other side of his body. Now both sides of his body have the white bloody spots and seem to have affected him.

No wonder why there's very little responses to your last post.

Nobody want's to say or type the following. And I understand why...

After a little more explanations, I concur that your fish has a bacterial / fungus / fin rot condition at the moment.

but it looks only located to the cyst and fin region , I have to admit that the previously fish TB diagnosed has great chances to be right. And your fish has little time left. While I would love to think otherwise because of other symptoms associated with TB are apparently not present.

But whatever the diagnosis. Physically. The only thing you can do at the moment is provide the most supportive care you can.

At this point what I said is pretty much debated on here and some hobbyist would rater euthanize their fish instead of letting them go trough this.

Your pet, your choice... I have a tendency to wait at least until the apparent pleasure of living completely vanishes.

These are tough decisions. With my poor immediate memory, I still can remind everyone of them today.

Let the medication a chance. Things always look worst when you QT a betta. He will look like he got a death sentence all the way trough.

Maintain your QT Clean and medicated. Be patient. As long as he's not lying on his side. he is only resting. At the top, at the bottom, no matter. if he is still hanging straight.. He does not need any food at the moment, so don't pollute the water trying.

I would treat it as an ulcer / cyst, if he goes trough these tribulations.

Good morning everyone

Another update; nothing really much has changed on my betta. I’m just completely hurt to see him this way. He rufuses to still eat, lays on his side all the time and still has that big scar on his body that has now appeared in both sides of his body. Fins are messed up. He is trying his very best at life right now. He seems in so much pain. I have given him the medicine, but I don’t think it will work well on him.

I am not well read on fish diseases but I have been following this thread over the past few days. The condition according to you has spread to the other side of the fish, to me this indicates that the issue is spreading and he is not getting better, at least not yet. He may be able to get better, he may not, but for me I would be considering the pain he is going through at this time, and how much pain he has to go through yet, even if he starts to get better. Only from my perspective, I would consider euthanizing poor Angel if he doesn't show any improvement soon. I feel bad for your situation but I have seen a number of animals, some my own, suffer longer than they need because of our feelings. Again this is a personal opinion and I don't offer any judgement on you or how you are approaching this issue. I wish you the best.

I appreciate your support , there is some part of me that has a hope for him and another part of me that wants him to be at peace. I cannot have my Angel suffer any longer from this, when I watch him try to swim it seems painful enough. I will keep your words in mind, if he continues like this and shows no improvement I would most likely have to euthanize him, as sad as it sounds I just want my boy to be at peace.

Good morning everyone

UPDATE: I thought I would wake up to just announcing the same thing I announced yesterday but today I woke up to something terrifying. I closely observed Angel like I always do and I found out that he has pine-coned ( or is starting to ) his scales are starting to pop out of his body a bit. Angel is in terrible condition and shows no improvement at all. His body looks the bigger than usual , I can conclude that I don’t think that he will get any better, my poor guy he has been suffering the last week and every day there is just a new problem that he deals with. as sad as it sounds I will have to euthanize the poor guy, every day there is a new problem and I’d rather just have him at peace rather than build up a new problem daily. As I observed him yesterday the red rash (previously dot) has spread more throughout his body. I am sorry bud

Mind that Every time I handle Angel I am careful , always washing my hands and wearing gloves while touching anything to prevent catching anything ( I hate diseases ) just to be safe it if were to be TB or just anything else. I will provide a picture (may not be best of quality sorry)

Thanks to all of those who have helped me with figuring out Angel’s sickness, he is at peace now and is swimming in a better place now. I am glad I was able to offer him a better home and help him reveal his true colors, I am happy that I made him more confident despite his blindness he has shown great eyesight improvement in the past months. Angel has had a tough life before he came to me but I am glad I was able to save him.
