Where Has The Old Characters Gone....

Maybe that's why I had a dream that someone was trying to steal me and take me to Britain last night  I have crazy freakin dreams, man. I really did. I dreamed I met some man w/brown hair and fair skin and he bought me a giant rock and wanted to me to come with him back "home". Crazy huh!!! Man maybe I need some meds

Yep, I went on vaca. Not putting my life on hold for saltwater. I fixed it up as best as I knew how and trusted it'd be alright. It was :D

When I was little I have a book that was called if I were a train driver..... I know it's a little random to pop that in there but it sparked a memory or two.

And if you want to talk about strange dreams then my dream is probably the strangest. I dreamt that I was a woman who owned a little corner cafe selling world famous sausage rolls...... The strange thing is I quite enjoyed it and no one shall steal my pinny!!!! Incidentally it was red and white vertical strips and tied round the waist.... :look:

Ben, what did you do to it??

Regards

God forbid the 'old characters' coming back now, they would wonder why the forum has gone to pot.... We have women refusing to 'go to bed' until their 'hubby's' have cleaned their tanks, discussions on hair-dos' and stripey pinnies and Big C encouraging other forum members to to take 'mind expanding' substances .

Oh how these threads develop. I think it must be the 'salty' fumes ;).

Funnily enough, I have not had that problem, despite being on Morphine for nearly 6 months now. Falling asleep at inappropriate times maybe. (Usually when the other half wants an early night)

Is that oromorph you are on? I would be extremely thankful that you haven't been struck down by 'the curse of the sluggish bowels' many people say it is bloody uncomfortable. I would imagine you have a diet with plenty of fibre and natural laxatives; good ol' figs my nan swore by them. How about nausea? A lot of people complaint of nausea, mind you that is because we normally give a slug of it intravenously. Not that I would know what it feels like .

Its Buprenorphine Hydrochloride its a morphine derivative, tablets that dissolve under the tongue taken with Cyclizine anti sickness drugs. The Cyclizine makes you drowsy too.

Nope not had a problem with bowels at all.

Had oromorph in hospital, it is better, but the docs are worried about addiction

Like people don't get addicted to Buprenorphine !! Saying that the risk of addiction with either is very very small if you actually have a painful condition. Cyclizine as an antiemetic, emm interesting? Metaclopramide/ domperidone are the usual anti sickness, must have been because you are a ?young woman? and the possibility of acute dystonic reactions. Regional differences are the spice of life. Also a massive PITA (to use one of Ski's favourite acronyms; he's here in spirit) as you prescribe something outside your area and you get that look with the short indrawing of breath for the pharmacist/ other doctors. It is special code for we don't prescribe that around here we use this !! Like it matters in the slightest as to what you use where, it is all about matching drugs and their adverse affects to the patient at hand.....

Sorry, I got into a rant. I hope it is doing the job.

Regards
