Two small tanks in my room, one big one in the living room. My rooms already cramped and the two small ones are on miscellaneous tables. Now I'm moving (to smaller quarters, at that) and my stepmom's forcing me to put all three in my room.

On top of that, she won't let me get more, even though they'll all be in my room.

A 55 would be much better than a turtle tank, IMO! Hope you end up getting it ;)

Sounds like my rents, tempestuousfury :/

I live in an apartment with one of those L shaped living room/dining area lay-outs. All my tanks (one 55 gallon, 6 20 gallons, and 7 10 gallon tanks) are in the living room part and are sort of edging their way into the dining area, which is the short part of the L. One, a 10 gallon frog tank has made it's way into there already.

The good news is that I don't have any tanks in the bed room...................yet! :shifty:

46g bowfront in the living room.

Twin 20 highs on one stand (one over the other) in the den/office.

10g hospital tank on an extra desk (aka Da Wifey's sewing table) when necessary.

Sorry but i think this thread needs resurecting lol
I bought my first one, swapped it for another and is on a solid wood table by my door.
I bought the another, sold it and bought a fourth, swapped that one for the current fifth one which is next to the second? lol

I dont have any more space though without getting rid on alot of my things like clothes lol or tv and relevant addons

I keep 11 of them in the family room and the rest are in an old bedroom that has been converted to my fish room. Interesting thread you found to resurrect. I bet the answers are as diverse as the people who keep fish.

My goodness, this is an old thread. My answer was from back before I moved, over three years ago. I've picked up a few more tanks along the way too. Check out the link in my signature to see what I have these days. :D

Love this thread!

My tanks are all in my living room. I started with a 60l - it all started going wrong from there!! Within 7 mths of getting this, I bought a 150l from a friend inc all the bits and fish. 2 weeks after it finished cycling and had fish introduced, it sprung a leak :| So I sent my other half out to look for a container that would be big enough to house my fish...he came back with a 2nd hand 110l tank from the lfs because it was £20 more than a container! It came with filter, airstone, hood and lights and stand...which happens to be the older style metal fram that can have...wait for this.....ANOTHER tank of the same size underneath...or 2 to 3 smaller tanks!!!!!!! Tank 2 that spung a leak has been re-sealed, primed, and is now on day 2 of its leak test!

I already have plans for several more tanks inc a dwarf puffer tank,a nano tank and channas and or arrowanas...my other half is now hooked and wants to redesign tank 3 when the fish go back into tank 2 and build a 3d background for it! He also has a passion for mudskippers and dragon fish...looks like a 5ft tank appearing in the future...and the rest!!!!

Lol, back when this topic was started I had maybe 8 tanks running. It's 30 something now, plus a couple of large tubs. All but two are crammed into a 8'x16' room. I need to expand the room.

I say I want more tanks but really I just want 1 bigger tanks. I have 5 tanks up and running now. A 36 gal, 20 gal, 5 gal in the living room. 2 in the play/computer room a 55 gal and a 10 gal.

I would like to trade my 20 gal for a 90+ gal tank. My small tanks are really just temps.

I have a 25l bowl on the sideboard in the living room and a 5 gall hex on the kitchen worktop. Future plans include another 5 gall on the bedside drawers in our room, a 10 gall betta sorority on the beside cabinet of the spare room and a 7 gall planted on the drawers in there too.
If I stick to this hobby (I'm extremely fickle ) I would love a huge tank in the living room. There's the space for it, just depends what H thinks.

All 3 tanks are in my bedroom, and it's pretty cramped! I've eyed up space for 3 5g betta tanks, currently doing calculations to work out how I can rearrange my room to fit more tanks in! Still trying to convince my parents that they should let me have one of the outbuildings for tanks! XD
