What was the last thing you ate?

We have a friend that raises them so every year we buy a 1/2 lamb from them. It is a treat for us, the stew meat pieces get used with various curries that we also like, but the bigger cuts get the full treatment, with fresh rosemary and parsley from our garden.
Oh that is awesome! Extremely fresh!

It was funny. My mom wanted me to see how hard it was to plan a meal for a family of four with a budget of $30....
I said we're having lamb and she kinda looked at me like: "Uhhh... OHHHHHkkkkk...."
But I genuinely surprised her when I pulled it off 🤣

With Lamb? I have a good job, but I only get a 1/2 a lamb because they are so damn expensive. How did you pull off a lamb meal for 4 at $30.00, I know prices are lower in the states but still. Are they small eaters in your family.

No crusty mash potatoes for you :(, when I ate TV dinner we did not have microwaves. Well we had microwaves, just not in the ovens.

The recipe asked for a leg of lamb. I improvised and used lambchops.
They were all nice sized and I even had roasted Tuscan potatoes on the side.
All I did was go around to different stores and find a good deal or two.
I did this in 2018 or 2019 so yah the prices were down a bit lol.

We are not small eaters 🤣
Anything but. 😅

My mom wants to challenge me again soon. She said I'll only have $20 the next time....
I told her: "Well I hope you like McDonald's" and she gave me the serious mom look 🤣🤣🤣

McDonalds for 4 is more than $20 nowadays 🤪

you could make a huge pot of american chop suey with hamburger, peppers, tomatoes, onion and elbow macaroni for way less than $20

That sounds real tasty!
I may try that but I will also look at other meals too... Maybe I can try another "cheap fancy" dinner again 😅

you could make a very nice stir fried chicken dish very inexpensively...cut up chicken breast, peppers, onions, tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt pepper, tabasco sauce, some Worcestershire sauce etc. Lots of recipes on line

True, true, true....
I could do that... Definitely
Ooo! What if I grilled something? I could also grill.
Idk. I'll just keep thinking lol.
I could also do a seafood of some sort.
