What Marine Creature Would You Like To Keep?

Koran Angel, and butterfly fish, but I like corals to much to have a tank without them.

Nessie would be cool I suppose, or a mermaid!!!!!

Imagine how big mermaid tank would have to be

I fancy a stars and stripes but as I have the shark it isn't likely. I wouldn't want to risk the fin nipping that can be associated with puffers and sharks together.

My all time favourite marine creature has got to be the

BLUE RINGED OCTOPUS

In my eyes it has got to be the ultimate marine creature it is truly stunning , but haven said all that there in no way I would contemplate keeping one, there one of the most deadly venomous animals on Earth  . It bites its prey, and then injects potent venomous saliva into the bite wound. The venom contains tetrodotoxin, one of the most potent neurotoxins known. Its bite can cause death from heart and respiratory failure and can occur within minutes

However,I have read that this non-aggressive octopus only bites people in self-defense
but i don’t think I will be chancing it any time soon

Some form of Barracuda, but the tank would need to be rather large I would imagine
Coming up into the middle of shoals of Juvi Giant Barracuda's is awesome when diving, all those predator eyes looking at you and thinking "what do you want!"

Something a bit more realistic would be a nice triggerfish, boring I know but I love their front dorsal fins where they get their name from :)
I've had to feed my fin to one in the past, when in breeding they're nasty buggers and defend a massive conical territory and have no fear of humans!

I'll be sticking to Tropical fish until I take early retirement in Fiji, then it will be marine reef species :)

umm realisticaly id say achilles tang, and hopefuly ill get one in my 200

however unrealisticaly id say a nautilus, the cheap thing about setting a tank upis the animal itself rofl, you need a chiller, and a bunch of other crud, plus they need darkness to be happy and vendors sell them in daylight which is bad.

ps sorry for the resurection i just couldnt resist!!

mine would be Volitans Lion fish. Always intended to make these my first foray into marine but just never happened

Infact my 5 ft may be converted!!! :hyper:

Seffie I always wnated a Fahaka as well after seeing Sirminions brilliant pics of Martha. wonder what happened to him?

i used to have a 7ft by 3 by 3 marine tank, all i had in it were 4 HUGE, 10 inch volitans, and a panther grouper. it looked awesome!
they are still my fave marine fish :)

ive seen these for sale, and one of my close family friends has one.
they arent usually very colourful. its only when threatened or in attack mode that the blue rings show up.
they are very dangerous!!

but, saying that, they are also quite boring as pets. they tend to hide all the time and not live that long in captivity.

A small cuttlefish. Fascinating when they hunt. The colors flash hypnotically just before they strike. I don't have one because I do not have a marine tank.

Answer to Q1....SHARK
Answer to Q2...No bloody room.
LOL
