Thanks Daize! Bet that dance is interesting to watch! So is it a domination thing rather than a mating move? It is the oldest fry so maybe it was just trying to prove something with the younger one. I'll have to wait until it's a bit older then and hope I can get a good look at the fins. I have a male and female platy who both present to each other, he is trying to establish dominance and has all the other females under control except this one won't back down! They dance with each other, fins displayed and arched away from each other and occasionally one or the other will nip as if to show who's boss. She's already pregnant so he's not interested in mating with her.
I have some six-day old fry in the tank (my very first) and another batch on the way soon.
