So last week I came downstairs in the morning and checked on the fish, as usual. I turned the light on and was horrified at what I saw. Steve had ballooned to a ridiculous size and I automatically thought he had dropsy. Upon closer inspection, I didn't see any pineconing or bulging eyes and he looked very pleased with himself for some reason. Then I saw a massive chunk out of the courgette I'd put in for the otos and suddenly it all made sense  This is what happens when a betta is left to eat until they're full...

so the ottos didn't eat it and the betta did. interesting i didn' think that they were fond of vegetables very much. Got a stomach on him thou haha.

My Females love cucumber, i put a vid up of 1 defending it from the other females as she didn't want to share it lol

Your betta looks like mine.....and that is how his tummy looked when he has swim bladder....i would let that fish fast a couple of days lol. He does look pleased with himself lol

Looks like a ballon, wonder how much it can eat before it goes bang :)

LOL Looks like he swallowed a marble!
My betta currently has the same mischevious look on his face... I came down today and discovered that 3 of my 4 ghost shrimp had "mysteriously" disappeared overnight... Needless to say Pearl Jam has an extra fat belly on him right now

The picture quality of that one was terrible. He's a VT which makes his fins look a bit rubbish from some angles. Here's another one I took this morning:
