What Fish Can't You Understand The Appeal Of?

Great question.
Any dyed fish.
Aquatic frogs.
Any sharks or fish similar to Pangassi's, that start off small and can grow to around 1 metre in length, as I feel it is cruel, unless you have mega tank space.

I know they're not exactly fish, but I cannot stand the look of axolotls (aka Mexican walking fish) They creep me out (odd, coming from the girl with the giant spider post...).

I also don't like the big catfish (don't know what they're called) but I just think they're hideously ugly. Not necessarily plecos, but those other big tankbusters. The kind I often see in CFC's picture posts.... but to each their own! I think I also don't like them because they kind of tanks you have to have for them are bare and plain. I love looking at nice aquascaping as well as fish!

Also don't like eels, pirahnas, pacus. They have ugly faces. And the obviously distorted and dyed fish. I always feel really sorry for them. It's not their fault they were bred that way, but it looks like just living is a struggle for them.

I don't understand how anyone could hate cories. They are so adorable. I love their cute little faces and watching their antics.
Also, I love my cardinals. Have had no troubles keeping them, and in a school they look absolutely brilliant against my black background.

What I don't get is how people like plecs? I know allot of people might dissagree on this one but i just don't see the bueyt oin them. They just look lik lazy dull brown, coloured fish that just hang from thier mouths and suck algea. An yet people say they have personality. outta this world

All that does if highlight how little you know about plecs...try doing some research and you might find they're not all brown and eat algae....infact the majority aren't and don't.

I've found that to be the reason why people don't like a lot of things. ;) Once you do the research...you find a purpose for every fish. Honestly, I have yet to find a fish I didn't like.

I'm not a huge fan of African Cichlids, but I understand why people keep them.

I'm a HUGE fan of any catfish, I just like Asian, Central, and South Americans better than Africans. :) And of course...I LOVE Plecos. :D

But...that's why this hobby is as big as it is...there are so many fish...you can always find one, two, 20 species you'd love to keep. ;)

Yep you're probably right. I love all catfish too, especially plecs.....but then I've always been more interested in the fish that's hiding at the back of the tank and which you rarely glimpse, than the ones which are always in view and seem to do very little other than swim left to right and back again...

LOL...Umm...Yeppers. :) I keep most species for that very reason. I just set up tanks so that I can see them when ever I want. ;) My Banjos are that way. I set them up with places to hide, but I can still them running around. :)
