What Does Your Other Half Think About Your Fish?

My OH gets home tomorrow... has no idea that there is a new 30g tank where the bookcase used to be.

My tactic -- I also bought a really garish throw from a charity shop and chucked that over the sofa. Definitely going to hate that more than the tank -- I get rid of one, get to keep the other! Cunning or wot? :hey:

Actually I think that as many of the posters have pointed out, there's always a bit of give-and-take involved. I'd rather my partner wasn't away from home so much, my partner probably wishes i wasn't completely obsessed with the fish and the cat. But we both put up with it.

I was ex-communicated to the bottom of the garden to my purpose built shed/fish-house/home.

my (ex)OH didn't like my fish obsession at all- the words "it's me or the fish" were used...........................so i chose the fish! (gotta have your priorities straight, i say!) ;)

Anyone that selfish deserves to be thrown out :p

Where in Brizzy are you btw?

Well as long as I do all the work however his latest is that he should have told me when he thought something was wrong and is so ...... impatient I keep telling him that the tank needs cycling but he keeps saying it did not take as long last time.

He also loves the Betta in the bedroom as me and my daughter go watch tv in out room while he can watch what he likes downstairs.

When I found I had fry the other day his reply was unbelievable " Well now you have babies you'll at alst be happy".

At my age I am only pleased that they sleep all night lol.

Ideas I'd suggest Nagg and if that don't work then lots of praise.

My husband is not keen on my fish. Most of his dislike seems to come from the word 'bacteria'. He treats the tanks as though they contain a cross between mrsa and c. diff!
However, I got a betta about six months ago, which lives in the kitchen. I have to feed him before my husband goes to work so he can watch. He reckons the betta has a personality which all my other fish don't.
