i have 3 guppies... 2 female 1 male. both females are pregnant. i am getting a 10 gallon tank for them to live in(i have a 5gal now) before they give birth. the 5gal will be used to raise the fry.
so my question..... what do i do with all the fry? i will keep some, but i dont want to overrun my tank. i have this other 10 gal tank with a betta, 3 tetras, and 2 rasboras and a small catfish. i could put some fry in there to be eaten by  the betta.... but he is so peaceful and has actually lived with guppies before. i dont want to overrun that tank too!

please help!!!

Sell them. I sell mines on gumtree. My LFS have plenty of suppliers so wont take any.

I got rid of all my breeding females, don't worry I haven't murdered them they were all rehomed, for the simple reason no one wanted the fry, LFS won't touch them and there's only so many people locally I can give them to, near me there are loads of people advertising them on a daily basis, there probably the most bred species in home aquariums. good luck selling them or if they are small enough fry the tetra's will eat them.

When the mothers drop their fry, do not remove any of them. Most will be eaten and then you'll only have a handful left, which will be much easier to manage. Then you can separate your females and males and not have to really worry about it anymore.

Sell them to a petstore. They wont give you much but still. But usually they dont accept them until they are 3 moths old. I sell mine all the time. But i always keep them with the adults. Ive never had problem of the older fish eating the fry. But every tank is different.
