What are you doing today?

I put on my new shoes today and apparently Luna HAS to approve them. When I python them on she started sniffing them. If I tried to walk away she jumped in front and payed my foot 🤣
So I stood still and in about 10 seconds she was done and was ok with my new shoes

I have learned today that my pH is 8.0 out of the tap, with an API high range liquid test, and I have converted ppm to DKH and DH. Choosing stock for my 55, it's looking pretty good and I want to be sure that whatever I get is actually compatible to my water. Using my high end test strips that are actually fairly accurate. going to see if my old KH kit works. It does, KH is 2. PPM on strips was 40, comes out to 1.89 DKH. One thing I finally know, is that if I let my water sit for 24 hours, the pH does not drop. DH 160 ppm to 8.96 DH. hmmm.

Yah my water is soft with a high PH as well... But my kh is 14 💀

I have the stocking sorted.....30 Neon tetras, a pair of Apisto and a batch of Cories (still deciding on version of Cory)

I have priced up real plants and the right substrate etc....and I have decided against it purely on financial reasons cos I know full well that the plants will not survive.

So the new scape that will be done next weekend will consist of 20kg of sand, mangrove roots, mopani, stones, caves and artificial plants with some live floaters stolen from Fred's 29 gallon (since they are rampant in there)
Can’t wait to see it 🥰 sounds like it’s going to be a beautiful home 🤗

@Rocky998 If you knew what wolves are really like you would not like them. They kill for sport and have been known to hamstring horses and leave them. They were wiped out in Europe for a reason and we just about got them wiped out here. Unfortunately they came back. I won't debate my hatred of wolves so don't try to get me to.

Huh???? When did I talk about wolves???

11,910 posts you have. Not surprising that you would forget one. You were telling about your Dad's wolf pictures.
Ohhhhh yah... I love them. Their so majestic looking.
Always seem proud and confident.
I have a great respect. If I saw one out in the wild I would be fearful but I wouldn't do anything stupid lol.
I would back away slowly and just pray to God lol

Not going to get you to debate but have you actually looked into their impact on the ecosystem? They are insanely important. When I found wolf tracks this summer I quickly hopped online to report the sighting, they’re coming back and that’s a very good thing, even if occasionally they will be an inconvenience for farmers

Yah... I find it disturbing that they are being wiped out like that. Actually makes me very sad and angry.

Well we're intruding in their land as well. You have to be prepared. They will defend what they see as their land as much as we defend what we see as ours
Funny how that works for wolves but not people. When the American Indian Movement tried to defend their land the Feds came out with guns blazing but passed laws to protect wolves.
