What are you cooking?

Heart attack breakfast 😄Yum!

I'm going to need to look up Watkin's seasoning. I have many spices & condiments but not that. What all do you use it in? I don't make grits but have had them. I never saw them look like your pic. Is it using leftover grits solidified & cut up? A little crispiness is almost always good!

I'm making beef pea pod but taking a short break while the rice cooks.

Hmm, lottabubbles, there are several Watkin's all purpose seasoning blends on Amazon. Which is the 1 you use? Ranchers? Chicken? Organic?

the only Watkins I have is this general purpose one. I get mine at Menards. they have some really good prices on spices.

Ah, we don't have Menards here but maybe next time I visit my midwest family.

No cooking today. Leftovers for lunch & dinner, no housework either. A true day off!

I have a ton of many herbs & spices, but I'll look at those to see if I need new blends to try. Good idea! Sometimes it's just an herb or spice or 2 that can make all the difference to create a new dish! I can't find celery salt locally lately, but my mashed potato soup requires it! Time to work on an Amazon order.

Tonight, we're having my family's version of beef stroganoff. Ground beef, canned tomato soup (oh yes!), sour cream, garlic, onions (of course) served on egg noodles or rice. My husband prefers noodles, but my family did white rice...& mushrooms just for me. I do brown rice for taste & healthiness sometimes, but noodles are good too & cook faster. Steamed broccoli to go with. I can't wait much longer!

Not exactly cooking but ordered.

I've had MANY pork steaks but I don't think I've ever had an actual pork t-bone. Ordered a package of 4, 10 ounce cuts. My local grocery does not even carry. The closest my grocery has is loin chops. Of course it all depends on if the cuts actually look as good as the image but Omaha Steaks has been quite good in that regard.

Here is a sample image of what I ordered:

Pretty pork!

I'm making a small cooked frozen meatloaf & baked potatoes & some kind of veggies.

I had to wait for hockey to be over so we're eating late.

we had a lot of off the wall pork cuts when we butchered our own hogs every November long ago. back then almost all the meat went into the Mortons Sugar/Salt. now it's all from the store. I do most of our pork loin in the rotisserie now or out in the smoker.

I LOVE my indoor rotisserie!!!! Never did a pork loin on it though; have to try it sometime. I used to do turkey breasts on it but stopped due to it not being possible to balance. Jammed up the gearbox to where I had to take it apart to free it up.

Tonight I'm having sort of Asian. Normally I'd use chicken but I'm out until next week. Anyway...
Pork
Broccoli
Red onion
Bell pepper
Shrooms
Either Orange, Sweet Chile, Teriyaki, or Kung Pao sauce
All over egg noodles, not a huge fan of rice other than wild.

At the moment I’m on a SouthWest flight heading to Los Angeles. I splurged and bought WiFi access. My dinner is a cheddar cheese sandwich on Dave’s bread. I’m drinking a glass of airplane red wine to accompany my sandwich. This is real living.
