Well there's Tall Trees near Lowdham, Maidenhead Aquatics at Wheatcroft garden centre, Timmerman's at Epperstone, and of course Wharf at Pinxton. If there are any others, I don't know about them (or can't remember them!) so do tell!!

Tall trees are ok they took in my overgrown yellow bellied sliders for £10 each lots of different stock too but tanks were absolutely filthy when I last went.
Maidenheads seem pretty expensive to me how ever I did get them down to £1 each for 25 neons I picked up about a month about
Timmermans ain't bad either but I'd rather drive to wharfs than go to the previously mentioned

Now EVs are cheap. Don't know if many of you have heard of them. There based in jacksdale which is just around the corner to wharfs. Specialise in American cichlids and l numbers and have some amazing other species in

brookfields is really nice, not too bad on prices either

Yh they're not bad. It's by far the closest to me as I live just off coppice road. But it's not my first choice when I go fishing lol

yeah ive not been to marquatiics yet even though i only live in st anns. heard good things about the shop in bulwell on main streetbulwellaquaticsandpets or something. there website is good. has pics and prices of all the fish they do aswell.

I guess you pays your money and takes your choices. I've probably had more fish over the years from Tall Trees than anywhere else, never had any problems. The tanks are not what I'd call 'filthy' - established, yes, could be cleaner ? Yes, but a spotlessly clean tank does not make a decent quality water. When was it you last went ?

Recently I got some Denison Barbs from Maidenheads - £50 for six. They wanted £10.95 each at Wharfs and wouldn't budge on price for six! Apparently they're 'rare and sought after'.

Timmermans didn't have much range last time I went. The best for range recently was of course Wharfs, but Maidenhead are keeping good healthy stocks at present it seems, and prices are competitive for most stock. My Denison barbs are doing really well 6 weeks in.

I picked up 5 denisonii last Sunday from Ev aquatics in jacksdale if I remember right they have them priced at 8.50 each

Still more than Maidenheads for 6 then - £51. What size were they ? The ones I got were 2".

Bit late on this topic haha but I bought 5 rummy nose and 5 male guppies the other day haha. Couple of fish died due to stress of moving tank (old one leaked D: ) so no worries about ammonia build up etc... But I love the rummy nose, they all school together and they are the only fish I have that do this and I think its amazing

Not only that, but my harlequins shoal with them, so they're all hanging out/bombing up and down the tank together

The best bet on the shrimp you were after is wharfs but if you don't drive then you've got no chance lol
Tbh mh, tall trees may stock rcs and I'm sure brookfields or world of water have ghost shrimp in
