That drawer doesn't look 'air tight' to me though, so be wary of placing food in there unless it is already properly sealed in another container.

Thanks, sorry i should have said the draw is normal but the little pot is stuck in position within the draw is air tight. you can just about make out the clips on the top from the photo. You could put your test kit or waffers in the draw bit as it a fair size

Al, is this the filter you'd recommend for the tiny tank?

I'm either getting the nano you linked here, or this one in the 30 litre.

I definitely have the bug >.<

Spot on thats the filter, im very happy with mine. I did a instant cycle with it and it handled perfectly. The flow is spot on for shrimp and betta in a 20-25L

okies, I'll go get one at the weekend and order my filter off ebay tomorrow I've been looking at them online, are the cartridges easy to take apart?

There is no need to take anything apart. The cartridge slides in the top as easy as a baking tray in a oven
