Way To Ignore People?

I would just like to suggest a way to cancel out and not let certain people post on my forum topics. A sort of ignore feature is in order. Once Ive discovered the people who were responding to my posts, it seems its just the same four people posting over and over. It would go a long way to just filter out the people that cant lend constructive criticisms.

Ive never used it but try the 'manage ignored users' tab in the edit profile bit

The problem with this is that the people who you block may be offering good advise etc. as fair as i'm aware the ignored users is for pm's and not posts. There's a script (cannot rmeber the name) for Firefox that allows you to skip certain peoples posts.

Personally though if you don't like a post or what someone's wrote then just use the report button or pm whoever it is.

terrible idea a forums for people to share there knowledge and air there opinions an ignore button would just be for people who are always contradicting what they say and editing there posts theres already a report button so people cant abuse each other and thats fair enough

you can ignore both posts and pm's. that's if you do not which to learn anything here, that is. ignoring those who think you are wrong. is no way to learn.

go to "my settings", "profile" and its the last option.

i agree thats the whole point of being on a forum there here
to help you may as well not bother coming on if you dont want to receive

The OP of this thread has been banned. He joined, made some posts and people started disagreeing with what he wrote. He started getting angry, and telling people they should have an open mind, yet he couldn't follow his own advice. (This is why he wanted to ignore users, because people kept telling him what info he was posting wasn't accurate.) So, he started posting really rude messages, and PMs, and apparently comments on user profiles (report those to a mod next time!). He broke enough rules in less than 1 day that he is now banned. The moderating team spent a lot of time last night reading every one of his posts and removing the worst of them.

That's all the needs to be said, and since the question of this thread has been asked and answered, I'm going to close this thread.
