What are the best vegetables to feed to my common pleco?

I tried cucumber a while ago and nothing was eaten (I just don’t know if it was too hard).

Then I tried Courgette, it was blanched but I think it was a bit hard in the middle as the edges are eaten. Yesterday I put more courgette in, but as I froze the blanched courgette last time it was frozen, so I cooked it for a bit longer. I thought it was too soft. Well when I woke up this morning there was a courgette skin left in the tank, so I’m pleased about that. He obviously likes it softer lol.

What other vegetables are good for him? (I am literally taking over the freezer with fish food haha).

peas are good but if you do cucumber properly thats their fav

boil some water stick the cucumber in for 30 seconds then straight in the freezer for 20 seconds then in the tank

lettuce spinach cucumber courgette
broad beans but they need blanching and deskinning
and peas i have tried strawberry before today but it took them all day to eat it

i myself keep pleco's, i have 2
x1 royal pleco
x1 common pleco

they love their lettuce and they also like sweet potatoe. (blanched of course)
also ive tried carrots...which takes them a while but they like it.
pleco's will eat any kind of veg, its just a case of experimenting and finding what they like and what they dont like.

also give sea food a try for pleco's, my common pleco goes nuts for things like mussels and prawns.
they love em.

i must admit i kno where your coming from with peas!
my pleco's never get the chance to get them b4 the other catfish or fishes have eaten them.

oh and one last thing...another food i stock up on which my common pleco loves to eat is: RED CABBAGE!
blanch it for a few seconds and then freeze it for a few seconds again b4 feeding it to your fish.

some fuits work wonders too like kiwi slices and honey melon.

oh I love red cabbage too :).

I put courgette in for him again last night, within about 2 minutes the other fish had destroyed it. So I put another piece in for him, (and hid it where they couldn't get to :)).

I don't think muscles and prawns would make it as far as the fish tank in our house hahaha.

I'll have to try potatoe too. Lots of good ideas :)

We do our shopping at Morrisons so it's ok :). I like all seafood so I'll have to treat myself and the fish :)

most human foods if prepared correctly will sink.
and most fish will easily consume them as they would normal fish flakes or whatever.

all sea foods will sink, and catfish, pleco's and other larger fish love sea food.
