Using Ick Clear

The ick was getting worse and I am losing fish. I have a 55 gallon tank I put 4 tablets in yesterday turning the water blue. I removed the carbon from the filters. Today I did a 33 percent water change. My questions are:

How long till I replace the filters with new ones with carbon

How often do i need to put more tablets in

When doing percent water changes should I be adding stress coat and water treatment

This is my first tank so I am learning

Follow the instructions exactly on the ich clear. Only do as it says.
Put your carbon back in a number of days after you see no traces of ich/medicating is complete.
Always use de chlorinator to your water when doing water changes. I wouldnt use stress coat personally but someone else can tell you better about that then I can
Treatment should take 10+ days total.
Did you raise the temp like the bottle says? slowly get it up to the temp it states. I think its 84 deg but check first
Put aquarium salt in the tank also. API makes good cheap aquarium salt

the box says there is no need to raise the temp its at 78 now what about adding more tablets

follow the dosage it recommends. Raising the temp only if it asks. Continue treatment for 3-4 days after you see no traces of ich
