Urg I Got Mouth Full Of Fish Water When Using Gravel Vac

I would have thought they would have referred you to ENT (ear nose throat) rather than dermatology. Dermatologists don't really deal with TB either. If you had TB you would be developing a hacking cough with increased sputum (the stuff you cough up with a chest infection). It sounds more like a strep throat or virus. What antibiotics were you given the first time you went.

It says in the link tigerissey that fish tb different from human tb it dosn't affect the lungs.

great link thanks .

yeh ive been told to put the others out of their misery but im unsure which one needs to be done ,

the fish are showing different signs etc this is whats left that seem more unwell.

cory catfish from tank 2 - not eating, very thin looking sunken in sides almost looks like a tadpole, bent spine and tail, always hiding, erratic swimming, pale in colour, white poo

yellow guppy from tank 2 - not eating much, spits food back out,has lost its colour now pale, red line runs through body looks sore, eyes look popy, swims upright as if standing on tail or lies on its side ,sinks to bottom alot, then has problems reaching top surface then spends rest of time atr top of tank,

red guppy from tank 1 - constant white stringy poo, ripped tail ,flicking off everything, he was the 1st to start flicking etc.keeps getting attacked by other guppies.

guppies in tank 1 ripped fins, some spit out food, some have white poo

im guessing tank 2 cory and yellow guppy are worst ,however could have red guppy from tank 2 have been carrier as most deaths occured in that tank ?

Have you tryed treating for internal parasites.
Signs of tb are.
Being skinny.
Bent spine.
Black iris.
Blacking colouring.
Popeye and dropsy in later stages.
Fins falling apart.
Fish can go white.

Red lines like veins can be septicemia.
I think I would treat for internal parasites.
The fish in tank two are they skinny aswell.

the red veins do seem to have got lighter in some fish.

tank 2 fish the ones that died went skinny but these dont look as bad as others did, and red guppy in this tank was a good sized fish although its pooed non stop literally for 3 days its doesnt seem as skinny as others

am i using the correct meds now

in uk wher do i get minocycline and tetracycline. ?

You need to kill all the benefical bacteria in the filter anyway. ......how ?

You need this internal wormer.

link not working

thanks off to vets 2moro

do i also buy the other stuff and dose at same time ?

soz so many questions seems im goingaround in circles from lfs ,quick to sell me products that arent for the reason they say.

The only way to get the antibiotics in the uk is from a vet.
What I meant is antibiotics wipe the benefical bacterial out in the filter. But it wants wiping out anyway if you suspect your fish have tb. Bad bacteria in the filter.

This med for camallanous worms.

I've had skinny guppys in the past and they had internal parasites.

ah soz hopefully my brains not too affected lol

ive kept out the black carbon sponge do i throw it out or put it back after meds

and can i use antibiotics and meds together ?

Not sure if you can use other meds with that internal wormer, You can with some.
Black carbon only works for 2 to 9 days anyway. Once it drys out its useless,. I would just throw it away and use fresh when you need it.
The only way to know its tb for sure is taking a dead guppy for tests at the vets.

many thanks im extreemly greatful of your advice i will see vet 2moz and see if he thinks i can use meds with antibiotics, will keep in mind that i could take a dead fish to them ,hopefully i wont loose anymore but will have to wait and see,

like i said many thanks for your wisdom ,

will keep you posted
