Unpopular Opinions (fish related)

Unpopular opinion. I have never been a house cat person. Although large, wild cats like bengal tigers are impressive.

Unpopular opinion: Cats are nice but massively overated due to meme culture.

And I say that as someone owned by a cat. So I say let's give frogs a chance.

“If cats looked like frogs we'd realize what nasty, cruel little bastards they are. Style. That's what people remember.”

― Terry Pratchett

It’s not everyday that you see a flying frog.
Meet Superfrog.

When I was in Boy Scout camp back in the early 60s, our troop of about 20 scouts went on an overnight hike. It was a 12 mile hike and we were all exhausted when we reached our camp. Our dinner was army K rations, hotdogs in a can. It was inedible. We were camped near a large pond, and we could hear many bullfrogs. So with flashlights in hand we waded out into the pond and clubbed about 40 large bullfrogs. We butchered their legs off, and roasted them over the fire. That night those legs did taste like chicken.

There are just some proteins that I'll probably never eat unless survival was involved; frog legs are one of these. Others would be things like oysters (especially raw), rattle snake and gator. I also don't do meat that has a job... read that as organs, just not gonna happen.

Sad thing is that I can't eat fish. Don't get me wrong as I love fish especially perch, small mouth bass, walleye and pike but I just can't eat it. I got spoiled by these fish in central and northern Ontario Canada catching and hitting the shore to cook. Getting such fish in a restaurant or grocery just does not work for me as it isn't really fresh. With freezing and shipping the texture and taste just changes. If you like lemon on fish small mouth bass is a great example of this. Fresh caught out of the water and filleted right away they have a natural bit of a lemon flavor to them but even an hour or two on ice and that lemon flavor is gone.
