Hi,

My oranda, who I am pretty sure is male due to the little white spots (presumed to be breeding spots after searching pictures on the internet) currently has a single white spot right on the middle of the centre of teh squishy bit of his head. Apparently when I was away for a few months he had some kind of white thing that was concluded to be due to breeding on his head that disappearedagain, so I think that it may be these tubercules once more. He certainly seems fine (although perhaps a little lethargic) apart from this, and it does fit in with tubercules descriptions on the internet. I was just wondering if anyone would know where I could find pictures of head tubercules on goldfish could be found on the internet? So far google isn't helping too much.....

Thanks for all being so helpful once more.

Usually white spots on the wen are actually new wen growth. My orandas will have a little white patch or a little white almost pimple looking thing and then their wen will grow out in place of the spot. There's a chance that it's bacterial, but my guess is it's just new wen growth so just keep an eye on your water params and make sure they're good and watch it to make sure it doesn't start looking infected or anything.

Thank you for your help - it does indeed look like a white pimple so I will just watch the water as you say and stop panicing!
