Trying To Breed My Cories

nothing yet but I've got a male and female that have become inseperable! Everywhere she goes - he follows. I just hope that I can catch them in the act again and rescue any eggs before they get eaten

I was right. I've just noticed my female with her anal fins clamped together. I got up and lifted the tank lid, watched her lay 2 eggs on the rear wall, grabbed my pot to put them in, went in to roll them off the glass ... she'd eaten them

Just fed an over large dose of flake and a good pinch of pellets in the hope she'll fill herself up and not eat anymore!!

female is looking like she could spawn again. I've just changed 3 buckets of water and made the last jug full a cold one - might spur her on.

Raising just 3 eggs isn't so great - not with my track record anyway

3 eggs is better than nothing, & if they hatch okay, & survive that'd be great.
My oldest babies are off to the Lfs this week as someone wants them.
I'll be sorry to see them go, but can't keep them all

it would be nice to see some survive this time but we shall see.

I've currently got my second male following the same female around and wanting to spawn with her. At present she's not paying him any attention but that can change in a moment so we shall see.

I wish I knew why my other female doesn't want to spawn. The guys are following her around a lot but she just ignores them! She's even given them a flick of her tail from time to time

okay, quick question - both of my males are not harressing the one female. She doesn't appear too stressed by the attention but I have no idea if the 2 female/1 male rule applies with cories like it does to livebearers

I do want to increase my peppers to 6 but my chances of buying 2 females are slim. They could turn out to be 2 males!

I have just got back from my lfs though with another peppered cory I think it's a girl but with cories - it's never certain

I'm currently trying to aclimatise it from a fish store high ph of about to 7.8 down to my low ph of 6. It's in the bag and I'm adding my water bit by bit - got the bag ph down to 7.4 for now. About to add a bit more and drop it a little bit more ... this is going to take a while

Meet the new cory

Still uncertain of sex, I'm hoping for a female but I'm not feeling lucky today

down to two eggs - one was nice and furry this morning - glad I spaced them well apart.

As for the new cory - almost 70% sure it's a girl. I had a male looking like he wanted to spawn with 'her?' this morning.

it's a boy. He's just spawned with my female. She's currently got all 3 males battling to spawn with her. I've saved 4 eggs so far

make that 4 again. Bust two moving them. They refused to stick to my finger

she's layed another 4 now. 2 I popped again trying to roll them off the glass and the other 2 she ate before I had chance to try rescuing them

I'm going to have to find an easy way of getting them off the glass without bursting them and before she eats them
