Trilineatus Colouration

I have 5 corydoras trilineatus and 2 seem to be a little red. I have been carefully monitoring how they swim and behave but nothing has changed. I'm wondering if they are supposed to be a little red towards the tail or is it an infection?

I've not seen this before.
Were they like that when you bought them? as it could be artifica colouration from dye

It could also be irriation from water quality issues, check you PH has changed, and that the levels of nitrate, nitrite and ammonia as at exceptable levels to.

might even be stress, but I doubt this one.

woah, that sure was a quick reply. One of the trilineatus with the slight red pink colouration towards it's tail also seems to be alot bigger. When I came home from school I witnissed it swimming like mad with one of the males and then I think they did the famous t position, would this lead me to the fact that one of my trilin is filling with eggs?

yeah that could be it, my trill have just soawned (as you may have read) I didnt notice any colour changes though.

Watch out for them swimming about cleaning the glass, as this is a sure sign that they are going the breed. mine did it weeks ago and I thought great!! but then nothing happened until late last week.

from what I've read they only lay a handful eggs, unlike bronze cories that lay hundreds.

As I said check the water parameters, if they seem to be going to the surface for air more than normal, it could be low oxygen levels.

Are their gills red? this is a sign of posioning from nitrate, nitrite or ammonia.

I replied quick as I'm in work and should be working but I'm skiving browsing the forums. I do more work then anyone else here anyway lol.
