It never ends with this tank! we have treated our african tank 2 times now for parasites. we used parasite clear the first time and parasite guard the second time. Our cichlids are still rubbing on everything. Its not all the time and they show no signs of any of the parasites I have looked up (i.e. velvet, ick, worms) Would raising the PH for them be a solution? we keep our PH at 7.2-7.3 because in our tank we have 2 south americans. If raising the ph will help with the flashing what is the potential damage that could be done to our Green Terror and Jewel? Any other solutions to get rid of the flashing issue? We were going to buy the product called clout but because we have treated twice already I wanted to see what other people thought so we don't over treat.... :shout:

"Flashing" is not an illness with Mbuna and many other cichlids. In fact it's usually perfectly normal behaviour - it's a sign of aggression or can even be part of a mating ritual. Almost certainly nothing to worry about. :good:
