Tips on treating camallanus worms

Hello, the guppy worms have stricken again... this time Camallanus worms.
How can I get rid of them effectively? My Fritz Expel-P is arriving tomorrow, and wondering what other precautions i should do? I separated the fish that is visibly infected, others dont seem to be infected.

treat all tanks, ponds and fish at the same time so you don't cross contaminate.

always deworm new fish while they are in quarantine, especially things like common livebearers (guppies, platies, swordtails mollies)

Thanks, I'll do just that, but wondering if 2 doses will work? that is what the instructions on my product say, and I also do not have enough for 3 doses.

also wondering since my tank is so big and so densely planted, if some worms are not vaccumed up, will they still die once paralyzed?

Dr. Harrison sells Levamisole HCL. I buy from him. I keep that med as well as Fluebendazole in my med kit. I get them from Dr. H.

Thanks, I'll do just that, but wondering if 2 doses will work? that is what the instructions on my product say, and I also do not have enough for 3 doses.

2 doses should work but I prefer 3-4 doses done at weekly intervals, (eg: every Sunday for 3 or 4 weeks).

I was treating new imports for visible Camallanus worms every week for twenty years while I was in the trade. Here’s what I always did.
Add Waterlife Sterazin as per the instructions. Nothing else. It worked every time.

If you see one, the whole tank is infected. The med you bought has the right ingredients to kill the nematodes. If we stopped calling them worms, we'd stop using the wrong meds...
The odds your entire tank is infected are only about 99.999999%. If you see a Camallanus, that's because it's hanging out to spray tens of thousands of eggs into the water column. So the bigger the tank, the bigger the problem and cost.
Follow instructions, vacuum as you can and they should be eliminated. I have never had a comeback in 3 infestations over the years.
Camallanus sp bite into the intestinal wall, and as the med forces them to let go, internal bleeding can happen. You can easily lose fish in the days and weeks after a treatment. I first saw this parasite in the early 90s, and it killed everything in days. It's adjusted to its new hosts, the ones it's met on the fishfarms, and it now acts like other parasites. It's slower to kill, which enhances its ability to spread. It can operate as a chronic parasite for a while.
The med paralyzes them, but I have never had problems with regular vacuuming. You have to do more than one dose, as eggs are possibly in the fish, and stopping too soon gives them a chance.

Thanks! I'll look into that. Fritz expel P seems to be similarly priced, but if I run out, I'll try that one.

Thanks, luckily I don't see any visible worms on any other fish except for one that I separated, so I hope they don't die.

If you see one, every fish is infected. There is no luck with these things. They are expensive to treat trouble, and they kill.
Treat one in isolation and you can almost guarantee nematodes are biting into the intestinal walls of all your other fish.

yes, i think there was a little bit of both sides of misunderstanding, sorry for the confusion.
I was saying that there was one fish that was severely affected but other fish may not be extremely affected and will have a higher survival rate hopefully.
Update on the medicine, I just got it and applied it to both my main and QT tank.
Turned off all tank lights. fed the fish some good things.
Should I continue to feed the fish many nutritious things so they will be stronger?
