While I have been sitting here for the last hour reading posts, I was also boiling some granite for my tanks. Naturally I forgot the rocks. I suddenly remembered and went running in the kitchen. The pot had boiled completely dry and the burner was sitll on high. The pot was so hot I had to get oven mitts just to move it off the burner. The rocks should definitely be free of any bacteria as they have been both boiled and dry fried.

There isn't a mess to clean up, just hot rocks in a dry pot. I just hope my wife's pot isn't ruined. I cooled th pot down, refilled it with cool water and put the rocks back in to cool.

SPEWIN!

Oh yes, this forum has got me introuble many a time too. Once i left the water running into my bucket when i was doing a water change. Another time i accidenntly left a couple of blocks of frozen food in the cup i defrost it in for a whole day.... Mum wasnt impressed..... :X

And another time i spilt water all over our new carpet..... :*)

I overflowed a 44 Gal barrel in my living room doing water changes because I wated to read... one more post...

Someone really does need to form a Fishaholics chapter. This is a bad addiction.

but we don't want to be cured...

besides... I don’t have a problem, I can stop whenever I want...

I only want one more tank anyway...

God, how funny.
I mean, not how funny but what a coincidence.
I was boiling my rocks today for my new tank and I hopped on here and forgot about them too. There was just enough water in the pot left when I got in the kitchen to cover the bottom of the pot.

heh

There was nothing left in the pot when I remembered. Dryer than the Sahara. I bet we're not the first and won't be the last.
