Thinking Of Going Marine

Neon Gobies will be fine in 240l, they are amongst a few fish that are OK in tanks less than 10G, you you've plenty of room for a pair  As for a group, well, now I think you may be pushing it as you need to treat groups of neon gobies like Clownfish... 8+, singly or in pairs... :good:

I thought that 240l was way too small for a Yellow Tang. Put it another way, if any customer at work wanted a yellow tang for a 240l tank, I'd refuse sale... Really, they need a 4X2X2, or 80g/350l as a minimum, due to their size and activity (they are very active fish) A 6X2X2 would be far better however...

All the best

Thanks Rabbut, but what about the Neons and the Randall would they be ok together?

Which is the better Tunze or Hydor?

those gobies should be fine together. Randalls are burrow digging bottom dwellers and neons more prone to pop about the rockwork. Neons make great little cleaner fish for their larger tankmates if kept in small groups as well.

Ok quick update: I now am the owner of 15kg of Live Rock and a Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp thanks to Truckasaurus123!

Would 10x turnover be ok or would i need more?

The 20X an hour rule applies for most softies and LPS. 30X an hour applies for SPS. In larger tanks, you want to increase the "rule of thumb" by 50% to allow for resistance in the larger volume of water. This is a rule of thumb however, and some species will prefer more/less, so you want to look at what you want before the flow you want

Ok so i will need 20x turnover. Thanks Guys
