I am going to wait to get an aquarium so I can afford more than a 10 Gallon. For the mean time I am trying to think of a theme for my aquarium. I know it sounds corny but I am not to creative so I need your help. I mean a theme such as A sunken ship with skeleton bubblers and a treasure chest . I would stick with that but thats my friends theme for hers, so I cant. Any ideas would be a huge help!!!!

Aamber,
Have you visited you LFS to see what is available? My daughter has a spongebob squarepants theme tank! We have a 10 gallon in which we taped a mirror on the back. This hides the electrical cords and 'works' that we don't want to see and entertains the fishies too! I usually decorate with plants and swim through rocks. There are tons of decorative backgrounds, rocks, figurines, bubblers and plants at my local Petco. :D

even though its a fresh water aqaurium i would suggest a salt water under the sea them with sand coloured gravel with shells and this plant from the petstore that looks like sea weed and you can get fake coral now too , and you can buy fish that look like salt water fish too

Thats very neat!!!! Thanks for the help, actually I was looking at a plant that looked like seaweed the other day!! I have the perfect shell to add too, my friend brought it back for me from the ocean and it has no jagged edges on it that the fish could snag there fins on. . . . .Im getting very excited for my new aquarium. Thanks for the help!!!

Be very careful adding shells and rocks from the sea into freshwater aquariums some of these could alter the hardness and PH of the water causing serious problems for your fish, best stick with things bought from a store where you can ask staff if items are suitable for freshwater.

Alright. . thanks. I have already started getting supplies!!
