Sweetcorn stops the batter drying out, keeps it really moist and squishy and yummy

And, WIN!! I dont have to do washing up and was given second glass of wine :D

Wow MBOU they look lovely!! Can I book a table soon??? lol

Well done you, fancy never having made it before, I hope you all enjoyed it?  I love savoy cabbage, yum.  I love the wine warming on the oven!
One thing though, you need to make it again before the end of the month!
You forgot to post a validation shot for the competition...I am sure there will be no complainers

Argh dang nammit!! Didnt see that, could have got photos of leftovers only I just ate that too

Its not healthy enough to make it again so soon :(

That said, I think this could be a good oppourtunity to get people cooking, why only Toad in the Hole?! We could think bigger!!

Ok, I've been reminded of this whole thing, and I have to fess up - I haven't made a YP yet.  But, that doesn't mean that I've given up - I've just been... distracted!

So, I solemnly vow to make a YP and I plan to take a few pics along the way to document my attempt.  I will mention this:  I will make it once or twice before I document all the steps.  I like the idea of experimenting with food, so once I get the basics down, I might try something that is all my own. ;)

Now, off to research how to actually make yorkshire pudding!

The big trick to YP is to get the fat really, really smoking hot before you add the batter; that's what makes it puff up :)

Also you can't have too many eggs in there - my theory is whatever is says on the ingredient list for eggs - double it! You'll not regret it I promise - you might be knee-deep in Yorkshire puds but they'll be good ones! lol

Thanks for the tips... I think I might need to buy a standing rib roast to go with this...

You're invited, but the cost of entrance is a dozen RCS.  As a parting gift, I'll give you 6 panda corydoras.

Sorry TOS.  Didn't mean to upset you.  It really is a shame we aren't closer together.  I'd love to swap with you!

Ah, that was just a frustrated scream! I'd love to swap critters with you, and the dinner would just be an awesome treat!
