Why would you sent the petition to the designer? Don't bother sending ANYTHING to the designer, e-mails, letters, petitions, etc. Some people just don't care about the welfare of animals and you are just going to have to accept that. You can't control what other people do, sell, or think is acceptable. If you really want to do something, look into some kind of legal action but dont expect the designer or the public to give a #### about anything that doesn't directly involve them because lets face it, they never do. It seems like often people write and sign petitions to make THEMSELVES feel better or like they are providing some kind of justice, not caring whether they are actually helping any animal. It's like people who donate to dodgy charities without having any assurance that the money is actually going somewhere useful. They don't really care, because they can feel righteous knowing they gave.

Even though I'm not a huge Betta fan, I signed it because I think every kind of animal cruelty is wrong. I also think that spamming their email isn't going to get you anywhere.

I don't mean to be rude, but there are some spelling and grammar mistakes in your bit above the link to sign the petition, where you address the company. Please don't take this the wrong way, but perhaps if you corrected these, the comapny will be more willing to listen. It will look more professional, and if you send it with mistakes, the company will probably laugh at you. Please don't take that the wrong way.

Whee.. I put-
Fish are animals too. Guess what? So are we! The designer told me they have 4 times the room they have in a shop. Considering they can't even MOVE in a shop I dread to think what these are like. Bettas are not fashion, they are living, breathing creatures that deserve the same rights as other animals.
